Trading On OMX Nordic Exchange Already Ahead Of 2005

The OMX Nordic Exchange says that the year to date total share trading value has already exceeded the value for the full year of 2005.

Trading increased with 40 percent for the first nine months, compared to the same period last year, and the average trading value for 2006 is €4.0 billion per day. The Nordic Exchange now comprises 742 companies on the main market and First North, including 62 new companies in 2006.

The ETF and Unit trust products’ trading volumes are up 51 percent, compared to the same period last year. The average trading value for 2006 on ETF/Unit trust is €80 million per day. The value of average daily share trading amounted to €3,962 million. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 113,973.
