Strengthening its health and group benefits (HGB) consulting capabilities, global professional services company Towers Watson has named Andy Hiles HGB Leader in its Southeast region.

Based in Atlanta, Hiles brings deep health care content expertise, a strong personal brand as an innovator, and a proven track record building and leading successful client delivery teams. He succeeds Scott Blackard, who has taken a leadership role in the company’s Southeast client development group.

“Andy’s experience leading the development of innovative health care and benefit strategies for some of the largest and most complex organizations in the United States enables us to enhance how we serve clients in this arena,” said Eric McMurray, Towers Watson’s Southeast managing consultant.

Hiles comes to Towers Watson from Aon Consulting, where he served in a national role as the innovation and large market segment leader, senior vice president, health and benefits. Prior to Aon, he held leadership roles at Hewitt Associates for 16 years and, before that, played a national role in the health care practice of Towers Perrin.

A recognized speaker and published author, Hiles has been a member of the Disparities Advisory Board of the National Business Group on Health. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and holds a degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
