TMF Group has appointed a new head of fund services from rival Intertrust to help accelerate the growth of the firm’s fund business unit in the Netherlands.

Paul de Lange has joined the fund administrator where he will focus on servicing global engagements for large fund clients .

He was previously a director of the real estate unit atIntertrust and had been with ATC Group since 2007 before it was acquired by Intertrust in 2013.

Based in Amsterdam, de Lange will report to Ron Arendsen, head of the Dutch market, and to Andrew O’Shea, global head of fund services.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Paul to TMF Group. His wide experience in the fund and real estate industry represents a great asset for our organisation,” said Arendsen. Paul has a long and successful track record and his background will be instrumental in assisting global fund clients from our office in Amsterdam.”

TMF Group has been rapidly expanding this year, appointing new fund services heads in China and North America over the past month alone.

Other moves from the fund administrator include the acquisition of Selectra Management Company, a Luxembourg-based servicer of UCITS and AIFs.

In February, O’Shea was one of a number of Intertrust personnel who joined TMF Group in Luxembourg.

The moves and strategy from TMF Group earned the organisation a nomination at Global Custodian’s Industry Leaders awards for Fund Administration: One to Watch.

“TMF Group’s ambitions for the fund industry are unparalleled, and it is exciting to be part of it,” said de Lange. I very much look forward to helping contribute.”
