TIBCO Software has formed a partnership with Thunderhead Limited, a provider of document generation technology. The partnership aims to facilitate the integration of the TIBCO Business Process Management (BPM) platform with Thunderhead’s Document Generation Platform.

TIBCO says the partnership underscores demand from banks, broker-dealers, fund managers and insurers for increased automation of personalised document and correspondence productionwithin a process-centric environment.

The harnessing of BPM and document generation enables compliance and drives operational efficiencies, says TIBCO. “The integration between TIBCO and Thunderhead means that business users can facilitate the automation of critical business processes from the initiation and management of a customer transaction, through to the generation of high volume, multi-channel customer communications such as policy documents, loan agreements, trade confirmations and customer correspondence,” explains a TIBCO spokesman. “By establishing a collaborative approach between users to facilitate document generation, the integrated solution will allow financial services companies to move away from a traditional task-oriented approach and instead create a service-oriented view of their organisation.”

Mutual customers can now attain greater control over their customer communications. Thunderhead’s integral exception handling capability allows business users to define rules to route documents through the approval process, fully automated and managed by TIBCO. Furthermore, Thunderhead’s Correspondence Framework integrated with TIBCO’s BPM technology, allows end users such as call centre and customer service agents to generate customized ad hoc correspondence on demand but in line with increasingly complex regulatory demands.
