TIBCO Appoints SAP Veterans Ardis And Harris To Head Sales In EMEA And Asia Pacific

TIBCO Software, the provider of business integration software, has appointed Noel Ardis to the position of senior vice president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and Tony Harris as senior vice president for the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

“Both Noel and Tony bring highly successful and extensive track records in leading explosive revenue growth and building strong customer facing field organizations,” says Chris Larsen, executive vice president, Worldwide Sales, TIBCO Software Inc. “The leadership and well established relationships that they can now provide TIBCO and most importantly, our customers, will increase TIBCO’s global execution ability and reach. Our commitment to these regions is strong and we will continue to invest and drive growth in both market share and revenue in the EMEA and APJ regions.”

Ardis began his selling career at IBM, moved to enterprise software by building the northern European region for SSA, and headed sales at the SAP UK subsidiary in the 1990s. He joins TIBCO from Entigo, a US-based electronic commerce software company, where he held the position of managing director. He will be based at TIBCO’s London office.

Harris is a software sales executive, who also worked at SAP in the 1990s, where he headed sales in Australia-New Zealand. Most recently, Harris held the position of managing director with Horizon TV, a broadband content company. He will be based in TIBCO’s Sydney, Australia office.

TIBCO has also appointed Gary Melia to the position of Regional Vice President of N. Europe. Melia will be responsible for UK, Ireland and Nordic Counties. Formerly, Melia was at Xerox, and latterly at Oracle, Tivoli and Niku. His appointment is effective immediately and he will be based at TIBCO’s London office.
