Thomson Reuters and Black Mountain Systems, a financial software provider for credit investment managers, have formed a strategic alliance that will enhance the level of loan data available to Black Mountains institutional investor clients. The integration of Thomson Reuters DataScope Select platform into Everest, Black Mountains portfolio management, credit research, trade order management and compliance system, will enable customers to request data for over 2.5 million OTC fixed income and derivative instruments.

Andy Horwitz, managing partner at Black Mountain Systems says: Our partnership with Thomson Reuters will ensure customers continue to have the right credit analysis tools at hand as well as direct access to data of the highest quality and the flexibility and coverage they require across asset classes. Being able to load their chosen data fields into Everest via a single step will also enable them to streamline their operations further.

Gerry Buggy, global head of Enterprise Content at Thomson Reuters, said: Institutional investors need the certainty that their decisions stem and are based from the highest possible levels of data quality to ensure effective decision making, portfolio management and risk reduction. The integration of our non-streaming content into Everest will provide customers with this certainty by ensuring their middle and back office applications as well as their compliance systems rely on an unrivalled level of depth and breadth of content.
