Thomson Financial and Capco have launched a joint product, Thomson Research Authoring Solution. The service, which was developed by Capco, aim to support the creation and publication of investment research by analysts. Built on Microsoft Office 2003, its is a complementary offering to the Thomson ONE Equity Research Suite, and can be used by buy-side, sell-side and independent research producers.

The application includes an intuitive user interface to manage ratings, commentary, financial and other data; configurable data layer, to tie in analyst financial models, market data, reference and compliance data; XML-based content and tagging, to allow for easier content re-purposing, rendering for distribution, and RIXML conversion; the ability to automate many compliance and disclosure rules; and it is configurable to match an organization’s specifications for investment research product content and feel, including components such as ratings structure, earnings tables, and price charts.
