The Board of Financial Objects plc, an international supplier of software applications to the banking, wealth management and energy sectors, has hired Karim Peermohamed as Chief Executive Officer, with effect from 1 January 2007.

Peermohamed joined the Company in 1997 as head of operations in North America and is currently Chief Operating Officer; he will take over the role of CEO from Roger Foster. Roger, who founded the company in 1996, and is currently Chairman and CEO, will remain as Chairman on a part time basis.

“I am personally delighted to announce Karim’s appointment as CEO,” says Foster. “Karim has made a major contribution to the Group’s development and played a vital role in the successful acquisition of both WMS and Raft International.
