Temenos Group has appointed Philip Barnett as global sales director for Temenos Corebanking (TCB), reinforcing Temenos’ strategy to focuson delivering TCB to outsourcing providers, as well as large-scaleretail banks, globally.

Barnett will be responsible for driving sales of TCB, which was madeavailable as a packaged solution to all customers in the version 7.0release, in a number of key selected geographies where market demandsfor such modern componentised and service based solutions haveincreased. This will involve leveraging relationships with existingpartners and forging new strategic alliances. In addition to drivingsales, Philip will also be responsible for the full Asian operations ofTCB.

Barnett has worked in various roles in the financial services IT sectorfor the last 20 years, joining Temenos in 2003 as Asia Pacific SalesDirector. He was promoted to regional director in 2006, for beinginstrumental in driving the substantial growth of the business in thatregion. Replacing Barnett in Asia Pacific as regional director is ChrisLongden, bringing with him 20 years of banking software experience. Hehas also held a number of general management positions within the AsiaPacific Region, spending a total of nine years living in Tokyo, HongKong and Sydney.
