TEMENOS Group’s Temenos Application Management (TAM) team has been assessed to be compliant with Level 3 of the ‘Capability Maturity Model Integration’ (CMMI) practices, as awarded by the Software Engineering Institute.
CMMI is a formally recognised process improvement approach that providesorganisations with the essential elements of effective developmentmanagement processes. It can be used to guide process improvement acrossa project, a division, or an entire organisation. CMMI helps integratetraditionally separate organisational functions and set processimprovement goals and priorities.
The CMMI programme was formally kicked off at Temenos in April 2007 andwas completed in just 11 months, one of the shortest periods that acompany has ever taken to achieve the assessment. While completing theCMMI appraisal process, TAM also successfully completed implementationprojects for 36 different banks globally during 2007.
“This is a significant milestone on our journey to achieving best-in-class services delivery alongside our already recognised product superiority. After a gruelling assessment period, our external assessors from KPMG found the processes within the TAM team to be fully compliant with Level 3 of the CMMI practices, the foremost assessment for software development. At Temenos we are repeatedly demonstrating our commitment to process improvement and certification across our supply chain,” says Andreas Andreades, CEO, Temenos.
