Ted Janulis, global head of mortgage capital for Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., will leave the firm after 23 years when he retires next month.

Janulis, 49, will be the third Lehman Brothers executive to leave the New York-based firm in as many months.

In June, president Joe Gregory resigned, followed by the exit of Erin Callan, the former chief financial officer to Zurich, Switzerland-based Credit Suisse Group after being demoted

Lehman Brothers has been struggling this year due to the credit crunch and is coming off a second quarter loss of $2.8 billion, or $5.14 per share, due to write-downs of faulty residential mortgage investments.

A Lehman Brothers spokesman confirmed Janulis’ retirement but would not comment any further regarding his pending departure.
