Tamale Software, which makes a research management application to help fund managers, stock analysts and securities traders centralize, organize and use investment ideas and proprietary research has released a fresh version of the tool.
It enables users to see, on a single screen, all proprietary ideas, research, contacts, models, and notes, alongside news, calendar events and internet research sites relevant to them. Information can be deposited, retrieved and searched by pointing and clicking a mouse.
Tamale says the new version include a number of enhancements. One is the so-called Research Board – a portal for analysts, traders and fund managers to see proprietary research by company, sector, deal, source, or “submitter.”
A second is a prioritization and notification feature that allows analysts to rank research and sign up for notifications, or notifications of colleagues, when new or time-sensitive research on any of the companies or deals important to them is published.
A third is integration of external and internal web sites into the application. Tamale says this (patent pending) technology allows users to access external and internal information sources, and focus a search, more easily.
Lastly, the so-called Tamale QuickFind feature aims to allow users to search across the entire research database.
Tamale Software has offices in New York, Boston and San Francisco.
