In April 2007, over 1,200 professionals attended TradeTech Europe at Le Palais des Congrs in Paris.

Asked by UBS to independently conduct electronic polls and live focus groups of delegates throughout the conference, TABB Group followed up with phone interviews. After analysing the quantitative data and focus group responses, TABB Group’s senior analyst Adam Sussman and analyst Matt Simon produced a 16-page research report, “The European Buy-side Trader: A Profile for Tomorrow.”

The European Buy-side Trader report deals with MiFID’s potential impact on their business, what they wanted from their brokers and service providers and which of the myriad issues having an impact on the European marketplace were the most pertinent.

Nearly 80% of the participants are located within the UK or Europe and categorised by type of organisation represented, including buy side, sell side and independent software vendors. The research is broken down into five sections:

*

A Challenging Marketplace

*

Difficulties of Trading

*

The New Age

*

Broker Accountability

*

Data and Measuring Market Impact
