SWIFT announced that Chris Church will join SWIFT in August as Chief Executive Americas and Global Head of Securities. He will report to SWIFT CEO Lzaro Campos and be a member of the Leadership Council. He will also take responsibility for coordinating the Securities Steering Committee of the Board.

Chris joins from BT Global Financial Services where he has been Managing Director of Radianz Services since 2006. In this role he was responsible for global sales, marketing, customer service, finance, product development and operations of the Radianz Shared Market Infrastructure.

He brings to SWIFT 20 years experience in the financial services sector, having held senior positions at Reuters in both London and the US. He was part of the executive team that founded Radianz in 2000, taking on the role of Head of Global Sales & Marketing until its acquisition by BT in 2005.

On announcing the appointment, CEO Lzaro Campos comments: “This is a great fit. Chris brings a wealth of experience from the securities industry. His background complements that of David Pryce who has been acting head of the region since September 2007 and who has a strong track record in banking and new business development. Together they represent a very strong and experienced team for our customers and community in the Americas.” Pryce remains in the US as Deputy Head Americas and is also a member of the Leadership Council.
