SWIFT has launched SWIFTNet Mail, a new product that combines desktop e-mail with the security and reach of SWIFTNet.
Now commercially available, SWIFTNet Mail is SWIFT’s first entry into the person-to-person messaging market. It allows individual users to securely transmit e-mails containing sensitive information, using the e-mail package of their choice.
“SWIFTNet Mail is more than meeting expectations,” says Jane Cole, head of solutions for FirstRand Bank Limited, which has been using the system. “The convenience of email combined with SWIFT’s security and reliability makes it a compelling proposition in many different business areas.”
