SunGard’s AvantGard was recognized in Financial-i’s fifth annual Leaders in Innovation 2010 Awards. AvantGard Receivables won “Best Accounts Receivable Solution” in the “Payments and Cash Management” category.

The winners were selected based on research conducted by Financial-i’s team of journalists, independent analysts, consultants and market practitioners. Winners in each category were chosen by panel, and these selections were based on the following criteria: solution innovations over the last 12 months, depth and breadth of functionality, to what extent a solution differentiates a provider from its peers, ease with which customers can implement and interface with these solutions, and the extent to which these solutions are helping companies solve or address common business challenges.

Anita Hawser, managing editor of Financial-i, said, “Our Leaders in Innovation Awards identify global transaction banks and financial hardware and software vendors that have excelled in the past 12 months in terms of innovation in business solutions. The award won by SunGard highlights the quality of its receivables management solution, the functionality and effectiveness of which is aligned with current industry business needs and trends.”

Ken Dummitt, president of SunGard’s corporations business, said, “We are pleased to have been recognized with this prestigious award, presented to us by Financial-i. Our AvantGard Receivables solution helps corporations to lower days sales outstanding (DSO), mitigate corporate credit risk and foster collaboration with multiple trading partners. At SunGard we are focused on developing solutions that support our customers in future-proofing their technology investment, while remaining focused on their core business competencies.”
