SunGard announced today it has established a link between its Investar*ONE mutual fund recordkeeping system and AdvisorCentral, an Internet portal for financial advisors.
The new link to AdvisorCentral allows users to access client account information for more than 200 mutual fund families supported by the Investar*ONE system. SunGard says it also provides access to aggregated client information at an array of established fund families.
“SunGard’s decision to link to AdvisorCentral demonstrates the competitive advantage that the portal offers to mutual fund service providers,” says Harold Groom, president and chief executive officer of AdvisorCentral. “With a direct interface to AdvisorCentral, SunGard’s Investar*ONE clients can enhance the servicing of their sales intermediaries and expand their visibility. We’re please to help SunGard increase its value-added services.”
One early adopter of the new link is Heritage Asset Management, which serves as the investment advisor to the Heritage Family of Funds and currently manages more than $7 billion in assets. “The new link to AdvisorCentral gives us better support for our growing advisor base,” says Matt Calabro, vice president, transfer agent services for Heritage. “With it, our network of more than 7,000 financial advisors can see the latest shareholder account information and activity in real time, giving our fund family an important competitive advantage.”
According to Ken Kempf, president of mutual fund shareholder accounting at SunGard Investor Accounting Systems: “The new link between Investar*ONE and AdvisorCentral is one more way we’re helping mutual fund sponsors provide valuable real-time information to their customers. It takes full advantage of the open architecture of Investar*ONE, giving users maximum flexibility in accessing the online data they need.”
