SunGard Securities Processing, an operating group of SunGard, announced today that Michael Cox has been appointed president of SunGard Securities Processing, provider of real-time transaction processing systems for broker/dealer equities and fixed income, exchange-traded derivatives, futures and options, and bank funding and investment portfolio management. In addition, Michael Nemerowski has been appointed senior vice president of strategic planning.

Michael Cox has 28 years of experience in the financial services industry and has served SunGard for the last six years, most recently as chief operating officer at SunGard Wealth Management Services. He has been responsible for the development and support of numerous asset management systems. In his new role as president, Mr. Cox’s main objectives will be to ensure excellence in product deliverables, strengthen customer service, and drive strategic initiatives.

Michael Nemerowski has 24 years of experience in the design, development and management of securities processing software systems. As one of the original designers of the Phase3 system, Mike’s expertise encompasses all aspects of the securities business, including operations, business development, technology planning, and management. In his role as senior vice president of strategic planning, Mr. Nemerowski will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s product strategy and continuing the expansion of its Stream integrated processing and workflow solutions.
