A study by the Harvard Business Review has found that the successful careers of bankers and traders can lead to an unsuccessful personal life, particularly in the bedroom. The study polled individuals with “extreme” jobs to examine how their work affected their private lives. The results showed that 46 percent believed that their jobs got in the way of a satisfying sex life.
The definition of an “extreme job,” involves a 60 hour work week. Workers with jobs that fit this description were also found to follow unusual and unpredictable schedules, travel frequently, and hold responsibility for profit and loss.
A third of the women responding to the survey also said relationships with their children suffered, with 65 percent of men saying the same thing.
