On August 25, 2006 structured bonds were listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) for the first time. It was a debut of the structured instruments for individual clients on the Warsaw exchange.

The WSE expects the development of the new segment to be very dynamic. Structured products such as bonds, certificates and warrants are an important supplement for the WSE closed-end funds certificates offer.

“Polish investors are the main group taking benefit from the new types of products,” says a spokesman for RZB.

The new products allow investors to access a wide range of financial instruments, such as domestic and foreign equities, goods, and foreign currencies. Listing of structured instruments on the WSE provides permanent access for its investors to its market valuation, and allows them to trade without additional costs.
