STOXX Makes Changes To Composition Of European Equity Indexes

STOXX Ltd., the leading provider of European equity indexes, today announced changes in the composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 Index, Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index, Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index, Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index, Dow Jones STOXX Eastern Europe Total Market Index, Dow Jones STOXX Eastern Europe 300 Index and their sub- and sector indexes, as well as the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.

Effective as of the open of European markets on 22 December 2008, 17 stocks will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index and its respective size and sector indexes. The new composition of the indexes can be found at http://www.stoxx.com/news/reviews.html

As of 31 October 2008, the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index increased to 4,17 trillion from 4,16 trillion and the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index remains unchanged at 4,43 trillion.

The composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index will remain unchanged. The indexs total free-float market capitalization also will remain unchanged at 645.58 million.

The total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 Index decreased to 12,92 trillion from 13,82 trillion, while the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index increased to 61.68 billion from 61.63 billion.

As of 31 October 2008, the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Eastern Europe 300 Index decreased to 254.50 billion from 255.31 billion, while the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Eastern Europe Total Market Index decreased to 261.59 billion from 263.93 billion.

Changes are being announced today after the conclusion of a regular quarterly component review. The adjusted component weightings, including the number of shares and free-float factors, will be announced on 12 December 2008, after close of European markets. All changes will be effective as of the open of European markets on 22 December 2008.
