Turnover on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, now part of the OMHEX group, fell 14 per cent in 2003 to Euros 415 billion, against Euros 483 billion in 2002. The turnover rate was 113 per cent, against 118 per cent in 2002.
The number of listed companies (497 at the end of December against 522 a year ago) and market participants (148 at the end of December, against 152 a year ago) also fell.
Derivative turnover was up, however. The total derivative trading turnover amounted to 87 370 982 contracts, up 4.7 per cent on the 83, 445 639 contracts in 2002.
