Stewart Asset Management Guernsey Ltd has obtained its insurance and investment licences from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and is now trading from its new offices in Les Echelons Court, South Esplanade, St Peter Port.
Paul Ockleford has been appointed Director of Samg based in Guernsey and is directly responsible for building the business there.
“Locally, we can offer a comprehensive range of tailored insurance services which will appeal to individual or smaller enterprises in particular,” says Ockleford.
“We have been successful in the UK due to our creative thinking and the personal attention we give to each client. We now see our opportunity to replicate that success by attracting new investment clients to Guernsey,” says Andrew Pollard, Director of Stewart Asset Management Group based at the company’s Glasgow head office.
“Guernsey is probably the leading jurisdiction in which to create new financial products. The financial sector works in an integrated way to provide the various banking, custodian, legal and other services we need,” he adds.
