Steve Sheppard Replaces Jim Clark At IFDS As Clark Moves To State Street Luxembourg

State Street has appointed former Cogent Luxembourg sales chief Jim Clark as director, sales and marketing in Luxembourg. Clark joins State Street from State Streets; transfer agency partnership with DST, International Financial Data Services (IFDS), where he served as director of European business development based in Luxembourg. As a result, IFDS has named Steve Sheppard as managing director of its Luxembourg operations.

Prior to his role at IFDS, Clark served as head of sales and relationship management in Europe for Cogent Investment Operations. He has also held senior positions in sales and marketing for Citibank and BNP Paribas.

Clark will lead business development efforts for State Street’s transfer agency and fund administration services in Luxembourg and build upon revenue growth across all product lines.

“Jim’s depth of marketing and sales experience, combined with his knowledge of the financial services industry in Europe, will be invaluable to our team,” says Tim Caverly, executive vice president of State Street’s investor services business in Continental Europe. “As State Street expands upon its fund administration and transfer agency services, Jim will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing our position as one of the leading investment services providers in Luxembourg.”

Steve Sheppard, the new Managing Director of the Luxembourg operations of IFDS, will report to John Vaughn, President of IFDS (Canada). His role at IFDS will be to support the delivery of technology solutions to IFDS and State Street’s transfer agency clients throughout Europe. He joins IFDS from Churchill Insurance Group, where he was Director, Group IT Operations. Prior to this he held senior roles at Computer Sciences Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank and Bank of America.
