ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities Services B.V. has appointed Steve James as Senior Trustee Manager, reporting to John Morris, head of the newly established Trustee and Depositary Services business.

ABN Amro Mellon says the latest hire is a step in the development of its solution to provide fiduciary services to investment funds. “The trustee company will enable ABN AMRO Mellon to offer a complete asset servicing solution for Unit Trusts and OEICs in the UK,” says a spokeswoman.

In his new role with ABN AMRO Mellon, James will be responsible for building detailed operational procedures, and for growing the new trustee and depositary division through recruitment. He will also assume FSA Controlled Function responsibility for Compliance within the trustee business.

“Steve’s appointment is a key element to the foundation of our new division,” says Head of ABN AMRO Mellon Trustee and Depositary Services, John Morris. “His experience in compliance, fiduciary and control roles in the custody, fund accounting, and investment management sectors will be a great asset to the team.”
