Greenwich Associates, a consultant to the global financial services industry, has appointed Steve Busby as the firms Senior Managing Director.
Busby, who joined the firm in 1991, succeeds Woody Canaday as Senior Managing Director following the completion of Canadays successful nine-year term in that role. Previously, Busby ran Greenwich Associates Proprietary Research and Consulting division and was Head of Marketing. He will continue to oversee these functions as Senior Managing Director, in addition to assuming firm-wide management responsibilities.
As a result of the firms investments and recent changes in the financial services industry, there are many growth opportunities emerging for Greenwich Associates, says Woody Canaday. Steves leadership will help drive the continued expansion of the firms traditional research and consulting practice, and his vision will be instrumental in developing new areas of growth.
Canaday is resuming his regular client coverage duties as a Managing Director and will continue to serve as a member of the firms Managing Group.
Under Woodys direction, Greenwich Associates grew dramatically and expanded its business into new and profitable areas, says Steve Busby. In the last two years of his tenure, he successfully led the firm through the most challenging market environment in its history.
