State Street’s long-serving head of global services for UK, Middle East and Africa, John Campbell, has left the company after 15 years.
Campbell joined State Street in London in 2000 to establish Investment Manager Solutions in Europe, before assuming the global services role in 2013.
Global Custodian understands that Nick Wright, regional chief operations officer at State Street will cover Campbell’s responsibilities.
Campbell’s tenure at State Street followed eight years of serving in the British Army, according to his LinkedIn profile. Campbell was a captain of the Royal Scots Dragon Guards, before leaving in 1987.
While at State Street he also held chairman positions for the Scottish Financial Enterprise, the International Advisory Board University of Edinburgh Business School along with the Edinburgh and East of Scotland Branch of the Royal Scots Dragon Guards Regiment Association.
Campbell was also awarded an OBE in June 2008.
The news of Campbell’s departure follows a Global Custodian story earlier this week that State Street’s head of asset manager client management group – Matthew Davey – has left the company a year and a half after returning for a second spell.
