State Street Corporation’s hedge fund administration company, International Fund Services (IFS), was named “Best Overall Hedge Fund Administrato” for the second consecutive year at The Hedge Fund Journal Awards 2008.

The Hedge Fund Journal Awards recognise the leading service providers to the European hedge fund industry across a wide range of categories.

“We are delighted to receive this honor for the second consecutive year. Our clients continue to recognise the importance of partnering with a strong global organization that can anticipate the needs of the hedge fund industry. This accolade is a testament to the strength of IFS ongoing commitment to service quality,” says Jack Klinck, executive vice president and head of State Streets alternative investment servicing business.

IFS, a leading provider of fund accounting and administration as well as trade support and middle-office services for alternative investment portfolios, has repeatedly been ranked best in hedge fund administration in the Global Custodian Hedge Fund Administration Survey and also received the top ranking in the surveys Dublin and East Coast categories.

IFS was acquired by State Street in 2002 and today has approximately 2,000 employees located in offices in New Jersey, New York, Drogheda, Dublin and Naas.
