The new building, located across the street from the convention center that will play host to this year’s Sibos, consists of modern workspaces designed to support mobility and flexible work schedules.
The office includes features such as stand-up desks and fitted chairs, a fitness center with locker rooms and showers, quiet rooms for nursing mothers, meditation rooms, access to green space, 130 bike racks for commuters and a Hubway (Boston’s bike-sharing program) location next door. 10% of the office also consists of unassigned workspaces with video and audio conferencing capabilities, with the goal of encouraging communication.
“The way ahead in financial services is highly dependent on attracting and maintaining a talented, diverse and engaged workforce to build innovative solutions for our clients, ” says Jay Hooley, chairman, president and CEO at State Street. “Channel Center offers a unique opportunity to re-shape our workplace environment to support these goals.”
