Valerie Haertel has been named senior vice president of Investor Relations with responsibility for managing relationships with the companys shareholders and analysts.
She replaces Kelley MacDonald who is leaving the firm after a decade in the role. Haertel will work closely with MacDonald, who will remain the primary contact for investors and analysts through the third quarter, in order to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
Haertel has worked in investor relations for 20 years, with her most recent role as vice president of Investor Relations for more than five years at Medco Health Solutions. Prior to Medco, she held various senior-level investor relations and management positions at Alliance Bernstein, RCN Corporation and NASDAQ.
Our base of shareholders and analysts has increased significantly over the past few years, and we look forward to Valerie helping to continue executing a comprehensive investor relations program for these key audiences, said Edward Resch, State Streets CFO.
