State Street Corporation said that it has been named “Best Overall European Custodian” by “International Custody & Fund Administration” (ICFA) magazine in its 2004 European Custody and Fund Administration Awards.

ICFA said it surveyed European financial services institutions on the ability of their investment service providers to provide highly efficient and cost-effective solutions that demonstrate genuine quality, consistency and innovation to determine which custodian would win the designation.

The judging panel for the awards included Colin Hartridge-Price, chief pensions officer for the British Telecommunications Pension Scheme; Wolfgang Mansfeld, president, The Fdration Europenne des Fonds et Socits d’Investissement (FEFSI); Dennis G. Robertson, partner with KPMG Luxembourg; Iain Saville CBE, head of business process reform at Lloyd’s and Jason Conway, editor, ICFA.

ICFA is a leading publication dedicated to global coverage of key issues impacting the provision of custody and fund administration services.
