State Street Corporation has hired John Menard as vice president of State Street’s institutional investor sales team, responsible for outreach to public funds and Taft-Hartley plan sponsors in the United States.
Menard, who will be based in Boston, will report to Wendy LaBonte, director of sales for State Street’s institutional investor services. Menard will be responsible for advancing State Street’s strong presence within the U.S. pension arena. Prior to joining State Street, Menard was vice president and public funds sales representative for Northern Trust in Chicago.

State Street currently services approximately 45 percent of the public fund business in the United States, through its dedicated public fund team, with customers in 33 states and the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally State Street is also a leading provider of services to Taft -Hartley plans.
Menard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Masters of Business Management degree from Northwestern University.
