Dan McNicholas has been appointed head of sales for State Streets Alternative Investment Servicing (AIS) business in Asia Pacific.
He joined the company on Monday, Feb. 6 and will be based in Hong Kong. McNicholas will lead sales strategy for State Streets hedge fund servicing, real estate and private equity operations across the region and will work closely with client-facing teams to develop sales strategies for its alternative investment capabilities. He reports to Maria Cantillon, global head of AIS Sales.
The prime broking expert left Bank of America as head of sales in Asia Pacific in September last year. He was replaced in January by Graham Seaton, who relocated from Sydney to Hong Kong. Prior to this, Seaton lead the bank’s prime brokerage, stock lending and delta one businesses in Sydney.
McNicholas has 15 years of experience in sales and client services, which also included roles at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank.

In 2011, State Street launched its hedge fund servicing business in Asia Pacific, and announced expansion plans for existing real estate and private equity servicing operations inmainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
