State Street has appointed Gavin Nangle to head of Business Development for State Street in Ireland. He will report to William Slattery, head of State Street’s investor services business in Ireland.
State Street has had a presence in Ireland since 1990 and today is one of the largest fund administrators in the market with more than 450 employees in Dublin and Kilkenny.

Nangle joins State Street from Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) where he was head of Offshore Fund Services based in London since 2000. In this role, he oversaw fund administration, custody and transfer agency services for $35 billion of Cayman, Luxembourg and Dublin domiciled products. Prior to GSAM, he held positions at UBS Global Asset Management and Bank of Scotland (Ireland).
Nangle holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University College Dublin and is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
