State Street has appointed Charles Cohen to its pension fund sales team in the UK. He will report to Alasdair Reid, State Street’s head of sales for investor services in the UK.
Cohen joins State Street from Thomas Murray, where he served for over three years as a senior consultant within the pension fund and investment manager segments. He was also responsible for managing the firm’s Private Rating and Operational Benchmarking (PROBE) product.
“Charles’ extensive knowledge of our competitive landscape, coupled with his experience working with some of the most sophisticated pension fund clients in the industry, makes him a valuable addition to our sales team,” says Reid. “As the UK continues to advance its position as the largest pension fund market in Europe, State Street has a tremendous opportunity to expand on our industry leadership as we enhance our capabilities to service our growing list of clients.”
State Street says it continues to win European pension clients. Most recently, the bank was appointed to provide global custody, fund accounting, foreign exchange and cash management services for the Weir Group Pension Scheme’s 400 million fund.
