State Street Global Markets Appoints 3 New Strategists

State Street Global Markets, the investment research and trading arm of State Street Corporation, has appointed three senior strategists to its research teams in London and Boston: Robert Blake, Lee Ferridge and Christopher Harvey.

Blake joins State Street Global Markets as a senior currency strategist based in Boston. He earned his PhD in economics from Columbia University, specialising in international economics, and brings a decade of experience as an international economist and currency strategist to his new role. Blake was previously currency and interest rate strategist for Bank of America in New York.

With seventeen-years of experience analysing developed currency markets, Ferridge has been named senior currency strategist for State Street Global Markets in London. He previously served as the head of trading desk strategy at Rabobank International, where his responsibilities included developing research recommendations for traders in both foreign exchange and money markets and developing trading models to complement these strategies. Prior to this position, Ferridge led treasury research and global currency strategy for Rabobank.

Harvey joins State Street Global Markets in Boston as a senior equity strategist. Prior to State Street, Harvey was an equity strategist and partner at Trinium Capital Management in New York where he was responsible for the firm’s net exposure, sector/macro tilts and risk appetite. Prior to this role, he spent six years at Munich Re Capital Management in New York, where he served as Equity Director and specialised in equity and fixed income strategy, equity portfolio management, quantitative and fundamental research.
