State Street Extends Reach in Luxembourg and Ireland With New Hire

State Street has appointed Keith Burman to a newly created role of senior managing director of private equity and real estate services in Luxembourg and Ireland.

He joins from Brown Brothers Harriman in Luxembourg, where he was senior vice president responsible for real estate investment product development, global alternative investment fund services strategy and the company’s regulatory involvement in Luxembourg.

Commenting on the appointment, Phil McGowan, senior managing director of State Street’s private equity, real estate and corporate services business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa said: “Keith’s appointment will help extend State Street’s position as one of the leading alternative investment services providers in Luxembourg and Ireland. His specialist knowledge of the alternatives business and his proven leadership skills are a highly valuable addition to our team.”

McGowan continued: “Keith will maintain his various industry roles with ALFI, INREV and RICS and will continue to play a leading role in the preparation of the European Funds industry for AIFMD.”
