State Street Appoints Sales Manager, Business Development Executive in Netherlands

State Street has appointed Per Sthl as sales manager for the Nordic region and Roel van de Wiel as business development executive for the Netherlands.

State Street has appointed Per Sthl as sales manager for the Nordic region and Roel van de Wiel as business development executive for the Netherlands.

Based in Amsterdam, Sthl is responsible for managing business development activities for the Nordic region with a focus on institutional investors in Scandinavia, Iceland and Finland. Van de Wiel will focus on growing State Streets Global Services business in the Netherlands.

Both Sthl and van de Wiel will report to Simone Vroegop, vice president and head of business development for State Streets Global Services business in the Netherlands, the Nordic region and Belgium.

We are pleased to expand our team and especially our outreach in the Nordic region with Pers appointment, says Vroegop. For more than a dozen years, he has focused on leading sales efforts across a wide range of markets in Europe, with a particular focus on Sweden and Finland. This experience will help to further shape our offerings to clients as we grow our business here. Roel also brings a depth of experience and knowledge through his decade of experience of the Dutch institutional marketplace in addition to previously working for APG pension fund.

Before joining State Street, Sthl was director of global distribution and investment structuring for private equity firm Oxford Sustainable Group in Amsterdam, responsible for managing a global sales network and bringing targeted solutions to the institutional investment community and its distributors. Van de Wiel brings 6 years of experience with ABN AMRO Mellon as well as J.P. Morgan Chase Bank as a senior business development manager within the securities business in the Netherlands.
