State Street has been appointed custodian by Mawer Investment Management, a Canadian asset manager, for its mutual funds worth $22 billion in assets under management.

State Street has been appointed custodian by Mawer Investment Management, a Canadian asset manager, for its mutual funds worth $22 billion in assets under management.

State Street will also provide fund accounting and administration services for Mawer’s portfolio of pool and mutual funds.

“After an extensive review of global service providers, State Street emerged as the best partner for Mawer moving forward,” sayss Michael Mezei, president of Mawer Investment Management.

“As operating models continue to shift across the industry, State Street’s integrated platform for custody and administration, as well as our continued investment in technology, can help clients like Mawer potentially improve investment returns, manage risk and seize new opportunities,” adds Rob Baillie, head of State Street Canada.
