State Street Corporation has appointed Maria Cantillon as global head of sales for State Streets Alternative Investment Solutions business.
Based in London, Cantillon reports to Scott FitzGerald, head of sales for State Streets Global Services Americas business.
Cantillon previously was head of Alternative Investment Managers and a member of the executive committee at BNP Paribas Securities Services in London. Prior to that, she held similar sales and relationship management roles with HSBC and J.P. Morgan in Singapore and London.
Maria brings an extensive background in business development and relationship management throughout Europe and Asia to this role, FitzGerald says. Her ability to understand our clients global needs across the dynamic and changing alternative investment management landscape will be a valuable asset as we continue to expand our alternative servicing business.
Cantillon will oversee a team of 15 covering positions in North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. She replaces FitzGerald, who assumed an expanded role late last year.
Marias appointment will further position State Street to build on our strong North American presence and also capitalize on the alternative servicing capabilities across Europe and Asia Pacific, FitzGerald adds.
