Standard Chartered Hires Naughton and Hempshall for Product and Relationship Management

Standard Chartered has appointed Alan Naughton as global product head, Investors & Intermediaries and Andrew Hempshall as global head of Solution Delivery & Service, Investors & Intermediaries. Both Naughton and Hempshall are based in the Transaction Banking division in Singapore.

Standard Chartered has appointed Alan Naughton as global product head, Investors & Intermediaries and Andrew Hempshall as global head of Solution Delivery & Service, Investors & Intermediaries. Both Naughton and Hempshall are based in the Transaction Banking division in Singapore.

Naughton reports to George Nast, global head, Product Management, Transaction Banking. In this role, Naughton will lead the banks product team for Standard Chartereds suite of securities services offerings, covering custody and funds Services, broker clearing, and agency services.

Naughton spent the most part of his banking career at J.P. Morgan, where he focused on the investor and fund services across Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Immediately prior to joining Standard Chartered, Naughton was the head of Commercial Management for Global Funds Services.

Reporting to Russell Graham, global head of Solution Delivery & Service, Hempshall will be responsible for the banks solutions delivery and service proposition for securities services globally. Hempshall joins Standard Chartered from State Street where he was the global relationship manager. Before that, Hempshall also held senior client servicing and securities lending roles at other financial institutions.

These appointments follow Standard Chartereds recent launch of an integrated direct and regional custody platform for its investor and intermediaries clients.
