Standard Chartered Appoints New Global Head of Financial Markets Sales

Standard Chartered has announced that it has appointed Christian Wait, currently Group Head of Capital markets as the new Global Head of Financial Markets Sales. He will continue to be based in Singapore and report to Lenny Feder, Group Head of Financial Markets.

Wait is an experienced banker, with over 26 years of industry expertise. He joined the Bank in 2008 and since then, has been instrumental in building Standard Chartereds Capital Markets business. Wait has also led the teams successful management of the overall debt platform of loans, bonds, asset-backed securities and convertibles portfolios.

Wait has previously held senior global positions in Lehman Brothers including Global Head of Credit Sales based in New York, and the European and Asian Head of Debt Capital Markets, based in London.

Wait in his new capacity, will lead the delivery of risk management, investment and financing solutions to corporate, government and financial institution clients across the Banks footprint across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
