Standard Chartered has appointed Jeremy Amias to the newly created role of global head of Investor Coverage. He will be focused on growing the banks investor client franchise.
Amias joined Standard Chartered on March 1. Previously, he was CEO of the Asia-Pacific region at Marex Spectron, a commodities brokerage house. He also has been head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities for Citi in Asia and an executive board member of Noble Group before setting up his own boutique fixed-income firm, Amias Berman & Co.
At Standard Chartered, Amias will be based in Hong Kong and report to Peter Heidinger, global head of the banks Financial Institutions Group, Origination and Client Coverage. Amias will be responsible for leading the banks Global Investor coverage team to deepen client relationships and provide strategic solutions across Standard Chartereds Wholesale Banking business.
Jeremy brings with him a wealth of experience from a long and extensive career in senior roles in the business, says Heidinger. His addition to the team and the creation of this new role demonstrates our firm belief in a relationship-focused approach to business.
