Standard and Poor’s will make the following changes to the S&P 500 index:
– Unisys Corp.will be removed effective after the close of trading on Monday, 10 November. As of today’s close, Unisys had a market capitalization of approximately $313 million, ranking it 500th in the index.
– Unisys Corp.’s place in the S&P 500 will be taken by People’s United Financial Inc. after the close of trading on Wednesday, 12 November.People’s United Financial is a diversified financial services company.
Headquartered in Bridgeport, CT, the company will be added to the S&P 500 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Thrifts & Mortgage Finance Sub- Industry index.
