SS&C has appointed Stephanie Miller as senior vice president for its fund administration business.

The new appointment comes just days after SS&C completed the acquisition of Citi’s Alternative Investor Service Business in a $321 million deal. The purchase created the second largest hedge fund and private equity administrator in the industry.

Previously head of JP Morgan’s fund administration business, Miller will be specifically responsible for alternatives business strategy as well as pre-sales and implementations. She leaves JP Morgan three years after joining.

In her new role, commencing in April 2016, Miller will report directly to Rahul Kanway, head of SS&C alternative assets.

Aside from her spell at J.P Morgan, Miller has also held senior roles at Credit Suisse First Boston, The Capital Markets Company, CDC North America, and FGIC Capital Markets, Inc.

“Stephanie’s outstanding background in global operations management, business development and technology skills enhances our management team and underscores our commitment to our fund administration business,” said Bill Stone, chairman and CEO, SS&C Technologies.

“This addition reflects our focus on providing solutions to the alternatives industry in a fast-paced environment of technological and regulatory change.”
