Spyros Kapralos is the new Managing Director of HELEX As per today’s government official announcement

Kapralos is said to have been unanimously accepted as the ideal candidate for the position by the Greek Banks, that are the main shareholders of HELEX, and the Ministry of Economy & Finance.

Kapralos began with a 10 year international banking career as Vice-President of Banker’s Trust Company (Paris, New York, Athens and Milan). For the period of 1991-1993 He was Deputy Governor of National Bank of Greece (NBG) and following his tenure at NBG, Kapralos was appointed Managing Director of EFG Balkan Investment – part of the EFG Eurobank Group, with activities in the wider Balkan region. As of June 2000, he was Executive Director and Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the Organizing Committee for the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games. On March 18th 2004, has was appointed General Secretary for the Olympic Games of the Ministry of Culture by the Prime Minister.
