AlphaMetrix, LLC becomes managed account platform client of Spectrum Global Fund Administration, a provider of middle and back office administration applications for hedge funds and funds of funds.

AlphaMetrix provides investors and funds of funds with direct access, research and real-time performance reporting to managed futures funds and commodity trading advisors (CTAs).

Key to AlphaMetrix’s selection of Spectrum was the company’s ability to easily provide estimated daily NAVs and to facilitate semi-monthly liquidity, critical differentiators at a time of heightened investor sensitivity regarding alternative investments.

Currently, there are over 62 managers listed on the AlphaMetrix Managed Account Platform. Spectrum will provide daily fund administration services for the AlphaMetrix platform managers as well as AlphaMetrix’s managed futures index products. These services include daily reporting of P&L, transactions and positions, both per CTA and consolidated across the AlphaMetrix Managed Account Platform.

Currently, client assets allocated over the AlphaMetrix Platform total approximately $1.7 billion, which includes both direct investments and managed account tracking.

“The AlphaMetrix value proposition is built on what we call ‘TLC,’ which stands for transparency, liquidity and custody,” says Aleks Kins, founder and CEO, AlphaMetrix. “In partnering with Spectrum, we have selected the only fund administrator that can produce the estimated daily NAV reporting our clients demand, and handle the increased complexity associated with more frequent liquidity.”

“The sophisticated structure of AlphaMetrix’s Managed Account Platform fits seamlessly into Spectrum’s proprietary technology,” says David Young, vice chairman, Spectrum. “This allows us to easily provide the reporting depth and portfolio transparency AlphaMetrix requires.”
