Sophis, a provider of cross-asset, front-to-back portfolio and risk management solutions, announced that Edgar Simiu will take on the role of Sales Manager for France, Belgium and The Netherlands. He will also be responsible for targeting new markets in North Africa.

Edgar joined Sophis in 2004 after graduating from ENSAE (National School of Statistics and Economic Administration). During this time he has worked in a variety of roles in the Continental Europe region including VALUE consultant, VALUE project co-ordinator and VALUE Services Manager. He has also acted as account manager for BNP Paribas Asset Management, AXA Investment Management and Jabre Capital, amongst others. Edgars key objectives in his new role will be to strengthen Sophis strong position in his region while exploring new business opportunities across North Africa.

We are pleased to announce Edgars promotion into this new role. As well as maintaining a close eye on our customers and prospects in France, Belgium and The Netherlands, Edgar will focus on North Africa as a new market for Sophis, says Younes Guemouri – COO Continental Europe, Sophis. Recent experiences in Morocco for example, have demonstrated the professionalism of its financial institutions and people, and indicates that this market will be an exciting growth area for us in the near future.
