Sophis, a provider of cross-asset, front-to-back portfolio and risk management solutions, has appointed Nicola Hamilton as its new marketing director. Nicola has 16 years experience working in public relations, corporate communications and marketing, both in-house and with agencies.

Nicola joins Sophis from Temenos, where she was group marketing director. She joined Temenos when it acquired Financial Objects, where she was also group marketing director. Prior to that, Nicola was senior marketing manager for Northern Europe at TIBCO Software; senior programme director at marcoms agency Write Image; and senior marketing manager at Commerce One. Nicola began her career as a commercial executive with the British Embassy in Paris and is fluent in French.

Nicola is an excellent addition to our team. Her wide experience of communications within the financial software sector and her knowledge of the full marketing mix make her the ideal candidate for Sophis as we continue to grow on a global basis, says Pascal Xatart, CEO of Sophis. Nicola will work with the senior management team to build a sustained global communications programme that will include client events, marketing communications, public relations and corporate brand building.
