Northern Trust has hired Soh Ee Fong, a 20 year banking veteran, to serve as Head of Client Service in Asia. She will be based in Singapore.
Ee Fong will be responsible for the client service team in Singapore, which covers Northern Trust’s growing client base in South Asia, China, Australia and New Zealand.
Ee Fong joins Northern Trust from OCBC Bank in Singapore, where she was head of non-bank financial institutions, covering insurance, brokerage and asset management companies.
Prior to that, Ee Fong spent 19 years at Citigroup Singapore in various assignments ranging from global custody, product management and corporate banking to e-banking services.
She was instrumental in setting up the global custody business for Citibank in Singapore and was also Country Manager for the American bank.

Northern Trust established a presence in Singapore in 1996 Over the past five years, its custody assets in the Asia Pacific region have grown over 400 per cent.
